Your initial consultation

During your initial consultation, you and Dr. Kaitlyn Paine will go over your medical history, the details of your procedure, your aesthetic goals, and any questions you may have. A breast lift can be performed using a variety of different techniques and incisions, and your surgery will be tailored to your individual circumstances. We will provide you with instructions to help you prepare for your surgery. We are dedicated to helping you feel safe, comfortable, and informed throughout every step of the process.

Youthful, round, lifted breasts can be yours

Over time, your breasts will change and may lose their elasticity and firmness. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, or weight loss may leave them stretched and sagging. While this is perfectly natural, and there is nothing wrong with it, a breast lift can help lift your breasts and restore them to their previous shape and position. If your nipples point downward or your areolas have stretched, a breast lift can lift and make them smaller as well.

You may consider a breast lift if:

  • Your breasts have lost their shape and volume and have started to sag
  • Your nipples point downward
  • Your breasts have gotten flatter and longer due to pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Your breasts sag after having lost a significant amount of weight
  • Your breasts are asymmetrical, and one falls lower than the other
  • You have finished breastfeeding and don’t plan on having more kids. This is not a necessity, but we usually recommend waiting until after your last pregnancy, as this will give you more lasting results.

The day of your breast lift procedure

A breast lift is typically performed as an outpatient procedure under general anesthesia. The procedure takes about 3 ½ hours to complete, but you should plan to spend about 5 hours at our office on the day of your surgery. Once your anesthesia has taken effect, your surgeon will make the appropriate incisions, depending on your unique surgical plan.

Then he will lift and reshape your breast tissue. Next, he will reposition your nipple and areola to the desired height. The size of your areolas may also be reduced if needed. Any excess skin will be removed, and your surgeon will tighten the surrounding skin.

How long will it take me to recover?

Once you are all done with your procedure, you will need someone to drive you home. You should be able to return to work after about two weeks, depending on how much activity your job requires. You should expect your breasts to be swollen and bruised for a few weeks. It is important that you rest and give your body the time it needs to heal. We will provide you with detailed instructions to help facilitate a smooth and rapid recovery. Results will be visible immediately, and once the swelling subsides and your incisions have healed, you will be able to enjoy your final results.
